Depending on the direction you are coming from your arrival on the Sunshine Coast will be either from Langdale Ferry terminal (just outside of Gibsons) or from Earls Cove (just outside of Egmont). (Printable Directions)

Directions from Langdale Gibsons to Sechelt :

Boarding the ferry in Horseshoe Bay, your journey to the Sunshine Coast really begins. For forty minutes you will be enchanted by the scenery of fir and cedar treed islands against a backdrop of coastal mountains. After docking it is a twenty-six kilometre drive on Highway 101 to the town of Sechelt. On the way you pass the fishing and beach combing village of Gibsons Landing, the 'gumboot' community of Roberts Creek and the self-governing Sechelt Indian Band to Sechelt with it's cafes, coffee houses and pubs. From Sechelt it's a short drive along the water to The Tuwanek Hotel.

Directions from Sechelt to Herons Return:

At the third set of lights upon entering Sechelt, turn right onto Wharf Street. Continue along Wharf Street for four blocks.
Turn right onto Porpoise Bay Road. This road turns into Sechelt Inlet Road. Travel north for 9 kilometres past Porpoise Bay Provincial Park and the local community of Sandy Hook.
Herons Return is the red roofed timber frame on the inlet side (left), just before Upland Road (on the right).

Directions to Herons Return:

If you are checking in through the Tuwanek Hotel, carry on past Herons Return along Sechelt Inlet road.
The hotel is just over the hill on the left.
